Garage floors that survive Florida heat

Grind, test the concrete, and coat. Not a kit.

This is the floor people search as garage epoxy. Two-car and three-car bays from Naples through Sarasota, Bradenton, and Tampa Bay. We come to the house, measure, show color options, and run a concrete hardness test every appointment so the grind is right. Then we quote.

Giraffe Coatings, trained crew.

What the wear coat is for

August tires in a closed Florida bay are why kits leave moons under the parking pads. We diamond grind, then install a wear coat. Product data sheets still warn that rubber can stain and that hot tires can soften a film. Mats under the tires help. That is not a rating, and it is not a roll-on film.

Flake is the usual spec. Metallic is the indoor showpiece. Park-on time is whatever that product’s data sheet prints — not “drive tomorrow.”

Garage questions

How much does a garage floor coating cost in Southwest Florida?

The quote follows the slab. Square footage, grind, and repairs change the number. We do not publish a per-foot band. We quote after we see the concrete.

Will hot tires peel a new garage coating?

Thin epoxy kits that never got a grind often lift in moons the first hot August. We diamond grind, then install a wear coat. Product data sheets still warn that rubber can stain and that hot tires can soften a film. Mats under the tires help. That is not a rating.

How long before I can park in the garage?

Most residential garages are one workday on site. Light foot traffic, wheeled traffic, and parking a car are three different times on the product data sheet. Recoat windows are not park-on times. The quote lists the printed times for that kit.

Do you coat oil-stained Florida garage slabs?

Yes. Oil has to be ground out, not painted over. If contamination is deep we will say so on site before anyone talks chip color.

Is this the same as a kit?

No. Every appointment includes a concrete hardness test so the diamond matches this pour. A film on an unground slab is why kits peel in August.

Will hot tires mark the floor?

Thin kits that were never ground often lift in moons under hot tires. We grind, then install a wear coat. Product data sheets still warn that rubber can stain and that hot tires can soften a film. Mats under the tires help. That is not a rating.
